This dance production remains true to the myth of Medea, the sorceress who fell in love with Jason and committed crimes for his benefit, only to be abandoned by him in time. Simple, majestic, and decorative up until the moment of the betrayal, the play suddenly becomes dangerous, and when the tragic drama takes over, it seems as if everything will be destroyed before our very eyes.
Dimitris Papaioannou is a choreographer and a visual artist, graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts.
His varied year-long career has seen him conceive and direct stage works for Edafos Medex Theatre and Elliniki Theamaton, direct operas and music stage shows, work as a costume, set and make-up designer, and publish over 40 comics.
